When you arrive in Tuscany on board of a cruise ship and you only have one day to enjoy Florence, you don’t want to be taken around with a large group of people. You should make the best of the time you have……choose a private tour!

You will be met at the port of Livorno by an experienced English-speaking driver. By car (or van) you will be comfortably taken to Florence where you will meet your guide for a 3 hr walking tour which aims to give you an in-depth understanding of the ancient city with its magnificent Cathedral, the Duomo, and the Baptistry which boasts Ghiberti’s exquisite bronze doors.

Next it is on to Piazza della Signoria, the city’s political center, both ancient and modern, where the imposing Palazzo Vecchio stands, once residence of the Medici family.

We then walk down to the Ponte Vecchio with its magnificent jeweler’s shops and its breathtaking views, before heading for the Accademia Museum to see Michelangelo’s David and his unfinished «slaves», jumping the lines with our pre-booked tickets.

At the end of the guided tour you will have time to enjoy a light lunch, to shop or simply to explore more of the city on your own.

In the afternoon your driver will take you back to the port of Livorno.

On request, you can make a photo stop at Pisa’s Leaning Tower.
