Walking tour of Florence and Accademia
Highly recommend three hour tour. Marzia was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the city, the art and history. She made sure we truly skipped the long lines and made it so that we went at a comfortable but good pace. Absolutely worth every dollar!!!

Davis H. / Wallingford, Pennsylvania - USA

So Worth It
Our Medici Tour with Paolo was outstanding. She was most personable and very knowledgeable about the city... the three hours flew by. My husband and I have been to Florence before and we still learned more. I would highly recommend the tour and this guide to first time and repeat visitors to this wonderful city.

Eunice B. / Boston - USA

Small Group Tour - Gems of the Renaissance
Gabriella was an excellent guide! It was obvious that she loves what she does and enjoys sharing her knowledge. We learned a lot from her. She was also very helpful with my Mom who had a little problem walking. I would highly recommend this tour!

Madelyn A. / New York - USA

Walking Tour of Medici Palaces
It was a wonderful tour, and exactly what we wanted. Our guide was fantastic and very, very informative. Even though I am quite familiar with Florence, I learned a lot, and we all had fun. 5 stars all the way!

Cristina W. / Saint Luis, Missouri - USA

Very knowledgeable and engaging guide
My husband and I and our 20 year old daughter took the tour of the Medici Palaces and their Chapel in San Lorenzo as well as their tombs. The guide met us on time. She was very personable, spoke great english and made the tour very interesting. She had a great fund of knowledge on the subject and presented the information in a way that made our hours together fly by. We learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour. Having a guide allowed us to not feel overwhelmed by the amount of art there is to see. We could not have seen all this in the same amount of time on our own.

Introduction to Florence and Uffizi
Once again Walks Inside Florence is a five star experience. We booked with them last year and we were thrilled to rebook with them this year. We are a party of four ages 59-71 and well travelled. We are rather familiar with Florence but we are no experts and thus leave it to the professionals to share the history and sites. We hired tour guide services for two days. And we spent a couple days on our own. Private guides cost wise, in our experience are cost effective...and certainly more engaging! They immerse you in the culture and the scene. First day was with Paola and second day with Oliviera who was with us last year. Both Paola and Oliviera are consummate professionals exhibiting a high degree of skill with flair. We enjoyed and appreciated every minute of our tours. We originally got the referral through Rick Steves. Thank you Mr. Steves!
For sure we would book with Walking Inside Florence again and again. And we give them the highest of recommendations.

Excellent Walking Tour
Had a tour with Paola for an afternoon in May. She was an excellent tour guide with loads of information and we learned a lot. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Florence Tour guide
We had two tours with Paola. One four hour tour in the morning for each day, on two consecutive days. I HIGHLY recommend these tours. Paola was the most knowledgeable and informative guide. We toured major attractions and were taken to the highlights of each. Paola was so well versed in all the history and all the art and architecture. We felt like we got treated to the most insider information and we saw the BEST of Florence. I highly recommend Paola and these tours.
We were on 'Florence in One Day' and also 'The Medici Tour'. So awesome. And as I've mentioned - Paola was SUPERB.

First Walk in Florence
Had an awesome tour of the high points of Florence with Marzia! She was incredibly knowledgeable and so patient and gracious when we arrived late (traffic getting into Florence was awful!) When our tour was complete, she gave lovely recommendations for lovely spots for lunch and super fun shopping!! We can recommend Walks Inside Florence without hesitation!!

Diane S. / Prairieville, Louisiana - USA

Knowledgeable Tour Guide
We met Paola and started our private tour (definitely the way to go). Both my husband and I were walking slow and she was so kind. We visited of course the David (fabulous - one of the high points of our vacation), Santa Croce Church where several famous people are interred (Michelangelo, Galileo), Rialto Bridge. Paola was so knowledgeable about the history of Florence. We would highly recommend this tour.

Sunset Promanade
This was a small group tour that was became just my wife and myself and the tour guide. Marzia did a wonderful job. She is highly intelligent, very knowledgeable and caters to your likes and dislikes if you tell her. Great time of day for this tour as it is less crowded. It included the main area of Florence and also over the Arno River. All in all a very interesting and thoughtful tour. I would not hesitate to utilize their services again.

Amazing Private Tour of Florence Landmarks
As part of a planned Mediterranean cruise, we booked a private walking tour, plus round trip transportation from our ship, with "Walks Inside Florence." And we are thrilled that we did! Having visited Florence before and seen iconic sights like the Duomo, the Uffizi, the David, etc., we had a specific agenda in mind for this one-day visit, including inside visits of the Pitti Palace and Palazzo Vecchio. Walks Inside Florence afforded us precisely the experience we wanted. Our guide, Paola, was outstanding. A resident of Florence with a doctorate in medieval history, Paola was thoroughly knowledgeable when it came to the art, architecture and history of the places she shared with us. But even more, she was warm and friendly and took very good care of us throughout our time with her. We would undoubtedly ask for her to be our guide on our next visit to Florence! Our transportation, too, was excellent. Leonardo, our driver, was friendly and reliable, driving us in comfort from our ship in Livorno to Florence and back again. We highly recommend Walks Inside Florence!

A wonderful experience
We had a large family party of 10 - including a 7 year old and a 12 yea old - and we were treated extremely well and welcomed very warmly. Everyone appreciated the various places we visited (including one or two surprises that we didn't anticipate), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our walking tour included a good many interesting sights, and I think it would be ideal for one's first day or two in Florence. You get a clear sense of what's available to you and where, and you can get a taste of places to which you might wish to return later and linger for a longer visit.

Great for a Short Visit
My party of 8, including two children under eight, only had one day to visit Florence. Walks Inside Florence was perfect for us. The company easily accommodated my request to plan a tour with a mix of history and culture at a pace that children could enjoy for about 3.5 hours. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We visited the San Lorenzo Market for a food tasting, the Duomo, the outdoor David, and the Medici Riccardi Palace. We took an unscheduled break at a bakery for water and snacks and our tour guide took us to a quaint little shop where we learned how artists make stationary. It was my son's favorite part.

"Walks Inside Florence" provides outstanding tours
The highlight of our family's recent visit to Florence was our 3-hour Uffizi tour with a wonderful guide from "Walks Inside Florence." This company of gifted professionals conducts customized tours for small groups, catering to the interests and ages of the participants. They're truly outstanding.

Walks Inside Florence
Booked three tours with Walks Inside Florence -- Orientation walking tour which included the Duomo, de Medici palaces, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and Basilica of Santa Croce; Uffizi and Academy, and a food tasting tour. Marzia and Paola were wonderful guides. Warm, engaging, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and most importantly, passionate about their city and its treasures. They made a wonderful trip to Italy even better. I recommend them without hesitation.

Walks Inside Florence - Florence in One Day
A high school teacher of my son, a seasoned traveller, recommended walking tours in Italy during high season to maximize limited time and avoid long, hot hours in line for tickets. It was excellent advice and Walks Inside Florence was an excellent choice! The company was very easy to deal with before the trip started, tailoring the tour to our needs. We decided to go very early on our own to the Galleria dell' Accademia so we could have more walking time elsewhere with our guide, and they were happy to accommodate these arrangements. Our guide, Paola, was impressive in her knowledge and passionate about her city. She had a Ph.D. and had been doing guide work for 22 years; there was no question she could not answer. In a city where the biggest problem is TOO MUCH to see, she kept us moving to the highlights. Left to wander on our own in the crowds we would have been overwhelmed and surely have learned only a fraction of what we did. We had four hours on a hot day with her, and she managed to keep the interest of even our teenage boys! We enjoyed a stop in the middle for a coffee at her local favorite spot, and ended our time together well satisfied, with the colorful stories of Florence history filling our heads. Highly recommended!

Best tour we had in Italy
We did a lot of tours in Venice and Rome and the tour we had in Florence through walksinsideflorence.com was the best. The guide was incredibly knowledgable, kind and fun. The tour only had 6 people which was a plus. We got a lot out of it and made all the difference for the 24 hours we had in Florence. Great and responsive customer service too. Highly recommend!!
