His academic background in History of Economics brought him to analyse the complexities of 15th century Europe's financial discourses, which led him to develop a deep understanding of the Florentine banking system and its connections with humanism and the Renaissance, as well as the rising of the Medici family power.

After his graduation, Leonardo immediately started his career as a tour guide, which he sees as a way to build a bridge between the past and the present. His guests describe him as a knowledgeable guardian of authenticity, who loves to unravel the soul of Florence, savoring each moment like a well-aged Chianti.

His experience as a tour guide has brought Leonardo to work with people from all over the world, but he has a penchant for the U.S. He says, "I like to think that my American guests will fall in love with my city and want to move here permanently."
