Javier García Caro

Professional guide in Florence. He can speak Spanish, English and Portuguese

Born in Spain, Javier has always been passionate about travel, history, art and meeting people from different countries and cultures.

After graduating in English and German language and literature from the University of Seville, he later continued studying French, Italian and Portuguese, spending some time in France, Germany, Portugal and other European countries.

He has turned his passion into his job  and so began working as manager of the groups and reservations department of a tour operator. But this passion for travel led him to became a tour guide in Italy in 1999 and finally a licensed guide in Florence in 2015, which is currently his full-time job, working in Florence and the Tuscan countryside.

It is an absolute privilege for him to do everything he is passionate about while working or as Confucius said: “Choose to work on what you love and you will never work a day in your life.”
