Join our small group day trip to visit one of the most beautiful areas of Italy and four of the five villages of the Cinque Terre. Start your day in Florence by meeting the other participants and your English-speaking driver before heading north-west along the highway. Notice along the way the steep, white Alpi Apuane famous throughout the ages for the beautiful marble used for many masterpieces of Italian sculpture and architecture, including Michelangelo’s David.
From La Spezia we take the panoramic road to see what makes the Cinque Terre so special. Admire the sea and sky and the incredibly steep vineyards dotting the landscape. Your guided tour will begin in the first and southernmost village of Riomaggiore and you will be introduced to the history and stories of this very unique area. From Riomaggiore, you will use the local train/boat (tickets included) to visit the other villages. You will see Manarola, the most tranquil of the five towns, Vernazza, the most picturesque, and finish up at Monterosso al Mare. This is the perfect spot for relaxing, shopping, enjoying the sea, as well as a great place to have lunch at one of the many restaurants or cafés (not included).
At the end of the day, our driver will meet you and drive you back to Florence as you are enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Important Notes:
- Because of the hilly nature, uneven ground, and stairs to climb at the station, this tour is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
- Due to the high volume of visitors, especially during the summer season, the villages and train can be very crowded.
