Our walking tour gives you the opportunity to explore the city without visiting the museums.
We will walk through the beauty of the city starting off in Piazza San Lorenzo, the heart of the Medici family district.
We go on with our walk to admire the exterior of our Cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore, better known as the Duomo. Here, you will learn about the history of the complex and the Baptistery, famous for its bronze doors cast by Lorenzo Ghiberti and Andrea Pisano.
We will then visit Piazza della Signoria, the heart of the city, with its impressive Palazzo Vecchio and the Fountain of Neptune. Here, we will also admire the original statues of the Loggia dei Lanzi, including the celebrated Perseus with Medusa by Benvenuto Cellini. We reach the river crossing the long courtyard of the Uffizi Gallery, in order to discover the best view point on Ponte Vecchio.
We take you to the district of Santa Croce. We will visit the church of Santa Croce, a treasure trove of artworks by Giotto, Donatello and Cimabue. The church houses the monumental tombs of distinguished Italians such as Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Machiavelli and Rossini.
