Pearls of Tuscany: Siena, San Gimignano and countryside

This tour is the perfect combination to enjoy the history, art, views, wine and food of beautiful Tuscany.

You will visit two of its most characteristic and lovely towns and the surrounding countryside in comfort and relaxation with a luxurious vehicle and English speaking driver, licensed to bring you very close to all attractions. There will be no long walks, no wasted time waiting for 50 other people, no crowds, and lots more sightseeing time and personalized service.

We will drive about one hour through the gorgeous Tuscan landscapes until we reach the center of Siena where your professional, local guide will meet you. Your walking tour will take you through the town’s narrow and picturesque streets and share with you the stories and history of Siena while showing you the most important highlights of this beautiful city. You will visit the interior of Siena’s magnificent Cathedral with skip-the-line entrance fees included and see the Piazza del Campo where twice a year the famous Palio horserace is held. At the end of your walking tour you will have some free time in Siena to explore on your own before heading for the San Gimignano area for lunch.

It’s a beautiful drive to our next stop, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards– to a family owned wine estate, where you will have time to relax and enjoy a scrumptious Tuscan lunch of assorted cold cuts, prosciutto, salami, cheeses, buschetta, soup or pasta, salad, followed by dessert and coffee. The meal, of course will be accompanied by the winery’s excellent wines and olive oil, as well as the area’s famous Vin Santo – a sweet dessert wine.

San Gimignano is just a short drive from the winery and here you will finish your day with some free time to stroll and shop while admiring the town’s unusual skyline of tall Medieval towers and charming squares, to visit the churches or to taste the famous gelato. You will be back in Florence in the late afternoon.
